MIT’s aviation insurance policy covers up to $1,000,000 of liability in the event of an accident. That is, for any single incident, the insurance will pay out up to $1M for personal, property, or medical damages. The policy covers all MIT students, both undergrad, and grad, during the school year. Non-MIT students – that is, alumni, researchers, or other members of the MIT community – are not covered.
