Flying Club Social @Avier

The MIT Flying Club took a trip up to Beverly Airport (KBVY) last weekend to show a group of 16 members just how easy it is to go fly the TechFlight Cessna 150! We got a moderately early start to the day with 3 full cars departing from Masseh just before 10 am.

Avier Flight School welcomed us with open arms, great snacks, and an awesome spot to hang out while everyone waited for their turn to fly. Avier has generously allowed the TechFlight corporation to store the 150 there and for all of us pilots to book the plane straight through their online scheduler! It makes the process really easy.

The weather could not have been better for flights. Chris Rinard (Exec 23′) flew one plane and Ted and Joe flew the Techflight 150. Everyone who came got to fly, either from the left seat or the right, for at least a few laps around the pattern! Overall a super fun day for all those who attended. Look out for more events like these in the near future.
